To study 3 A Levels you'll need at least 5 GCSE's at grades 9-4 (A*-C) including GCSE English at grade 4 (C) or above and Maths at grade 6 (B) or above. To study 4 A Levels you'll need at least 6 GCSE's at grades 9-6 (A*-C) including GCSE English at grade 4 (C) or above and Maths at grade 6 (B) or above. You must be studying A Level Maths and 2 other A Levels alongside this subject.
Further Maths will extend your work in pure maths, statistics and mechanics.
You will need your own scientific calculator. A graphical calculator is also strongly recommended - ask your tutor for advice before buying one.
You'll take external exams.
You could progress to a related higher education course such as maths, business, accountancy, science, computing, engineering or economics. There are lots of careers open to you such as aeronautical engineer, biochemist, veterinarian or chemical engineer.
